Mulled Wine for the Winter Season

Hey readers,

The Christmas season, and cold season in general, usually signals a time for warm drinks and alcohol. One of my husband’s favorite cocktails for the holidays is mulled wine. Mulled wine is usually made from red wine, mixed with sugar, orange skins, cinnamon, nutmeg, and other warming spices. Mulled wine originated during the second century of the Roman Empire along the Rhine and Danube Rivers by Roman soldiers trying to keep warm in the colder seasons. Currently it is pretty common among British communities when temperatures drop, and they tend to spike theirs with Brandy. mulled wine

So I wanted to share my personal recipe with you, for you to enjoy the Christmas time. Let me know what you think!
